Sledding is a fun activity you can do with
the whole family, but make sure you set guidelines
with your children to keep them safe. Here
are some tips:
Tuck in arms and legs and use sleds with secure
handles.
·
Only sled in daylight.
·
Children under 5 should have an adult on the
sled with them.
·
Choose hills with a gentle slope and long
run-off area.
·
Stay away from roads, rivers, railways, and
parking lots.
·
Always sit or kneel on the sled, never go
down head first or standing up.
·
Be sure the way is clear of people and obstacles.
